How to use Make2d in section view of VisualArq

Hi all,

I try to use “make2d” command while I am in the section view generated by section tool of visualArq plugin. Unfortunately the result is not the same as the view in the section view. All cut objects are fully visible like there was no cutting plane. Any solution for that problem?

Have you tried vaSectionView ? That sounds like it does what you want. It can get complex if you need some Hidden Objects. In that case I’ve found it easier to use a clipping plane in the same position and then use Make2D but this of course isn’t live.

Hi @sebastian.d , the Make2D command is not compatible with VisualARQ sections or cut planes. As @rheinason suggests, you can use the vaSectionView command instead, or use the Hidden display mode, so you will be able to print what you see as a “live view” directly to vector output.
