How to update to latest service release?

I have this version:

This link has this version: 8.7.24134.03001
https://www.rhino3d.com/download/rhino/8/latest/

Link from ‘Check Now’ inside Rhino has this version: 8.8.24135.14001

I am a little confused regarding versions, but, my main issue is.

Do I need to uninstall and run installer again and download a 600MB file everytime?
Can I just run installer with my current version installed and it will update it?

Thanks

I would give it a little time. We just released 30 minutes ago and some of these things take some time to update.

Yes.

There are two main ways to get the ~600MB installer file. The usual way for people with an online installation is to enable the Updates and Usage Statistics as you showed above. If you have chosen Service Release for the update frequency Rhino will background load the monthly Service Releases. If you have chosen Service Release Candidate the weekly SRC will be background downloaded.

The other way, for people who are running offline as well as anyone else who chooses to use it, is to actively initiate a foreground download at a time of your choosing from https://www.rhino3d.com/download/rhino-for-windows/8/latest/ or https://www.rhino3d.com/download/rhino-for-windows/8/latest/rc/ .
