So basically, whenever i choose “ Set “Anything”” by right clicking the params provided by the tekla livelink, Rhino/Grasshopper minimizes. And when it reappears after selecting it pops back at a random location on the screen. I know i can pre-select the object and input into the params and this wont happen.
The idea is that the windows should pop back to their original position but it seems it’s a bit inconsistent.
At least when i try now, this fails if the Rhino and/or GH window has been snapped to the screen edges or are fullscreen AND the Grasshopper window doesn’t hide any of the Rhino window.
Thus one workaround is to position and size your Rhino/GH windows without letting them snap.
We’ll try to get it fixed for the next version. Or at least provide a menu option to turn off the minimizing.
Generally it’s only when i’m doing a recording this sometimes becomes a nusiance, cause as you say, im snapping to the window edges. I might revise my method of making videos as well.
Would be great seeing an option to tick this of if needed in the future.
I vote for this with both hands! With two monitors, it is not that important to hide Rhino, but as mentioned, the random popping back can be quite disturbing. Needed to set Tekla components frequently to get existing connection attributes. @Anders_Sjøberg1, thanks for posting this issue. I somehow thought it was only happening to me.
