How to get smooth nodes

Hi,
I’ve been trying to figure out how to get these nodes smooth with proper curvature. I somehow solved it with patch/network surface by dividing them into segments. But the curvature doesn’t seem to match with the pipes. How do i get it as one surface? Is there any plugin to do this?

Thanks,

You may have a better chance to get a smooth surface if you cut back the edges of the middle patch (you can also split the remaining patch into six four-sided surfaces, although thats a lot of work…):

I fear to give you my definition because it is not very reliable and not smooth enough but you will get construction curves. See YANG

I tried my code and it is not easy for me. I don’t imagine for you …
I manage to do that, but it is not the good diameter …

This project was interesting but as it is useless for me I stopped it years ago, as the source are open, if someone is willing to further develop it go. I think some of the logic to make the transitions are good. The bounding cone is interesting (I never see it elsewhere) …

Yes. Patch will work. But the thing is, i wanted to get it as one surface, like what Laurent has posted here. I guess it might be difficult to do manually.

Can you send the component? I tried using your file. Couldn’t find the component used in this.

It is on the first link Yang 4.5. But as I said don’t expect too much. I didn’t manage to make it work for your application

I’ve solved it. But result is a mesh. Using Exoskeleton & Weaverbird.
Node Connection.gh (9.0 KB)
Node Connection.3dm (17.4 MB)

are all of your “nodes” the same? Why did you use GH then? I would have modelled them in Rhino…

No they’ll differ. This was just a base.
