How to extrude with a curve shape instead of a straight line

Hello! I’m new at rhino and I want to make like a 3D cactus. Right now I’ve been able to extrude it but like in straight line but I want to do the extrusion with a curve instead of a straight line so with this looks more like a cactus.

You can draw the cross section curve and use sweep1 command to create the filleted edge

You can also extrude straight and fillet the corners. Using “filleted get” command . Make sure he radius is less than half of your extrusion height.

The third step (my favorite) is to use extrude as subd.

Thanks a lot! And for example if I want to create the cactus with a curve shape instead of flat what should I do? Should I creat a semi circle 90° opposite and then use the extrude curve along curve command?
