Hello everyone. I’m trying to bend this shape in Grasshopper so that it bends symmetrically along its spine, like folding a piece of paper in the middle. So far, I have written this script using Bend Deform and Arc 3Pt, but it uses one of the vertices as the origin for the bend, resulting in an asymmetrical bend. Might anyone please be able to assist me?
split the arc into two at the axis where the arc meets the surface, flip curves so that the start point of the split arcs lies on the axis, feed these two arcs sequentially into two different Bend Deform components.
OMGG thank you so much exactly what I needed. However, I was wondering if there was a more direct way of achieving this shape through gh? I am very new to gh, and I am having a hard time understanding what commands like “crv closest pt” and “list” are doing in this script.
