Hi,
V5, V8
In V5 at the mo again. (pending sussing dims)
All the years I have used Rhino, I muddle about in perspective view trying to rotate it to the angle of view I want to compare to a photo, just but tumbling it about with the mouse, primitive beyond belief !
Is there a way of rotating red axis, then blue axis then green axis of gumball.
In my Agisoft photogrammetry one can do this , clicking in such colour band on the ghosted spgere that exists in the middle of the scene.
I can rotate scene left to right easy enough, but tilting left up or down, making a sloping beam not so sloping down at left etc, there is no control over just TILT it seems.
I am sure this exists, anyone care to reveal the sceret as we all need to do it ! Chapter 1 verse 2 of using perspective view Rhino.
The red line of gumball.
I could then get it spot on if so !
ideally lay the photo in and chose points on the model to go to the points in the photo, then I can see how close I am to matching the shape of the object,
adjust the model, until it matches the photo.
at the mo, I have left half monitor rhino and right half photoshop.
Click on the perspective viewport and press F6 to make your camera visible. You can make fine adjustments to the position, target, rotation etc of the camera using the gumball in the other viewports. Further adjustment can be made using the camera tab on the properties toolbar.
Hi, ok,
I’ll try that when get 5 mins,
But is there not a quick and simple way whilst tumbling the perspective view around to within seconds pan then tilt view ?
there should be !
a Serious oversight if not.
Other CAD progs have such.
by V8 such should exist.
unless its to get us to buy V9 ?
I bought V7 never used it and so far V8 same.
