Hey, I am currently trying to create a section cut of my building, however I want to project what is behind in like dotted lines or something. Is there anyway I can do this? Below is the normal axonometric perspective as well as a view of what I want to project.
you want to display the axonometric drawing? for a quick impression you can change to technical view which dashes the hidden lines, if you want to gain 2d vector drawings from it then you can use Make2D
i did not understand where your section should be displayed, maybe you would have to work with clipping planes then, which visually cuts the sections/directions you lay out.
can you make a simple example of what you want?
I dont even know what im trying to explain tbh. I mean like make it so u can see what is underneath the roof. I want to use the “technical view” u mentioned in ur comment but i dont know how.
i have a mac with Rhino 8 maybe it looks a bit different on your computer, but when you right click in the viewport you should be able to see that menu
which allows you to switch from this
to this
there in the display panel you can also deactivate hidden lines
ah i see thank you, I dont think it has turned out quite how i was intending it to turn out so ill try smth after i export it to illustrator or try a layout such as lifting the roof up.
Are you aware of what the ghosted and X-ray views do? Did you know that you can apply these views to individual objects? You can also vary the transparency in ghosted. You can make your own custom view from any of the builtin views.
So you could have a ghosted roof with the rest of the structure shaded or rendered.
