For some reason there is no visual distinction between ‘Preview’ and ‘Non-Preview’ elements in the GH canvas. Guess I hit a keyboard shortcut or something
Can anyone point me to the right toggle in the menu settings to restore to the default of gray-outed for ‘non-preview’ elements
Mmh… seems like a bug or something. No visual information is presented in the canvas, all components seems to lack there highlight color. Illustrated here with intended false input
Did anybody encountered this before, and any suggestions how to fix this. For obvious reason this not workable
i cannot recall when it first appeared. It may be after installing of external plugin through package manager, but after I removed it and no change occurred
To reset these to the defaults, I’d close Rhino, move the grasshopper_gui.xml file out of the %AppData%\Grasshopper directory, then start Rhino and Grasshopper, and close it all again. That will create a default GUI file.
-wim
Hi @wim , I followed your steps and unfortunately that did not work, though I saw it making the new xml file.
I made a small video via telephone as unfortunately screen capture did not include the ‘grasshopper setting’ windows. As you can see the ‘correct’ colors appear only after I click on the component.
But when I change the colors in the menu, all of them take on the new colors, ignoring the state of each component, overruling them with each new color selected from the menu (preview on, off, enabled, disabled, error).
hallo @wim , I try uninstalling an reinstalling rhino, and ran the clean version without external plugins installed, but issue remains. Guess there’s some locally stored app data that’s still being loaded. Any suggestions which folders I must manually clean/delete for a complete wipe (windows 11, R7)
// FIXED. not sure with folder I ended up deleting, but a full windows search and removing of all associated data resulted in working clean install
