HELP! Trying to trim intersecting lines

Hello,

I am trying to cut away intersecting lines once I have offset a pattern of lines. I have photoshopped a screenshot to show the desired effect.

The input takes two text files, attached.

I tried following some advice from this thread, Removing inner Intersections, but cannot achieve the desired effect. Any help on this step would be much appreciated, I am desperate.
