Help grasshopper plug in fox

Hello! I need help, I’m looking for someone who can teach me how to use the fox plugin through a complex geometry that I already have modeled in rhino, so that it can do iterations that respond to rules and create a model of the union of the pieces. I am attaching my file, examples of what I want to achieve, and a picture of what I have that I did manually :frowning:

RHINO FOX.3dm (2.7 MB)

Did you try to download example files?

Yes, I tried, but it didnt work out. Do you know how? can you help me out?:frowning:

Example files still works (even after 2017).

These are inputs:

  • Object geometry
  • Planes on that object that must point outwards
  • Volume

It is a Plane to Plane transformation procedure that iteratively checks collisions.

I think this code originally comes from inflated restraint project: Inflated Restraint - petrasvestartas. It was a good learning experience from guys at CITA. Original implementation I learnt from Anders. And again this plugin was done in 2017, I did not touch it after that workshop, so it is up to you how you use it. Also check Ivy plugin that does a similar thing.

The balloons had polygonal subdivision after remeshing:

And the one you mentioned was a triangular mesh:

For sure you have to do yourself the fabrication preparation yourself with indexing and holes…
