Hey there! It’s been some time since I last used Rhino, and I tried making a 3D piece to print (so, need to create a stl file for Ultimaker Cura to read) but I came with a bit of a problem that when I try to open the file with the slicer it simply crashes. It only happens with this file so my bet is in it being an OPEN POLYSURFACE. I couldnt find a way to make it close or to create a solid from the polysurface. Ill attach the file here. I bet the problem is in the way I tried to construct the volume.
Any ideas on how could I optimise this form and make it a solid to export to .stl file?

Thank you!
You can use the “cap” command to close open polysrf
Hi Asier - the part is a little messy - short of building it more cleanly, you can get a printable object by using JoinEdge
here
onj both sides. Use ShowEdges
> Naked edges to see the exact locations. Note this will make a closed object for printing but is not going to fix the messy geometry on your object - it is not a substitute, in general, for cleaner modeling…
