Hatchpattern from 3dm-file?

is there a documentation, how to create your own hatch-pattern as 3dm-file?

I have just found this, but not how to use a 3dm-file as hatch-pattern:

Hi Michael,

You cannot create hatch patterns from 3dm files.

You can import hatch patterns from 3dm files, or from AutoCAD .pat files.
