Rhino uses AutoCAD-style hatch patterns. So if you Google “AutoCAD Hatch Patterns” you’ll find much of free stuff you can download and import into a document (File → Settings → Hatch → click the gear and pick "Load hatch patterns from file.

Yes. Rhino can import supported hatch patterns from another 3DM file or from and AutoCAD *.PAT file.
There are lots of Internet pages about AutoCAD hatch pattern files.

Hatch patterns are stored in Rhino 3DM files but can be imported from PAT files.

Thank you, but how to change it into a .Pat file? any guidance as i’ve been trying to research for while. I do have autocad ones which have been made on the internet. But i want to know how to do it on a MAC.

my guess - there is not a simple file-import / file-export or conversion approach.
for sure easiest is to search the web for existing, similar patterns.
“autocad pat hatch” directly do an image - search.

• that is also my recommendation.

.pat files are simple text files.

you can use any text editor to design your own pattern.
