Hatch turns into rectangle

Hi there, I recently switched from rhino 5 to rhino 6 but I’m having trouble with my hatch patterns. When I create a solid hatch in an organic shape and I accept the pattern settings, the hatch turns into a rectangle. Looks like a bounding box of the input curves. I tried adjusting the tolerances for the file, starting a new file, exploding and rejoining the curves but doesn’t seem to help. Any settings I can modify to make the hatches snap to my curves better?
Thanks for any help

Hi Lou - can you please run the SystemInfo command in Rhino and post the results? Also please post a file with a hatch that looks wrong in it.

Hi Pascal, thanks for looking into this. Now immediately after I sent this message the error has not occurred again. In any case here is what it usually does

and here is the system info:

Hi Lou - the first thing I’d do is update your Rhino - SR 14 is getting top be old stuff.

If you still see the problem, please post an example file.

Ok thanks will do.

hatch error.3dm (43.2 KB) i just installed the update but the error seems to be happening again see attached file

Hi Lou - your curves are very far from the world origin - about six million units. This messes with precision - do they need to be way out there?

Ok got it the linework comes from a geo-located file. But I will move it closer to 00. Thanks for the help!
