Geometry imported as family not changing cut height in plans

Hi Everyone,

I have some site context in rhino I have been using in Revit to get cuts in plan and section. I had been using direct shapes for a while which worked, but was limited so I started using families. The issue I am having is that now when I have a plan cut, say at the basement or the fifth floor, it cuts the same way it would look at the ground floor.

Section boxes in 3d views cut perfectly fine, and regular sections are unaffected. Any ideas?

That error could be an issue, but I am unsure that is the cause of this problem, as it cuts perfectly fine in a section box in a 3d view

That is a known issue in Revit (some DirectShape/Imported) not being sectioned.

Revit geometry is fairly particular, the DirectShape is the best way to get geometry in, and will highlight the areas where it has issues (but often still makes it into the project as a .sat import)
