Geodesic Dome Plane Base Cut Adjustments

First of all, thank you for all the solutions you shared with me. I tried all the suggestions I received, mixed them up a bit, and after many iterations, I was at a loss for what to do. The definition I consider cleanest, to some extent, doesn’t work when I change the height of the cutting plane. This bug also occurs with the other definitions I tested. Is there any way to solve this dilemma?

So in this situation you’d want to merge the points?

I think you will have to cull the faces which are fully above the plane and triangulate the gap using a circle which you divide with the number of anchor points required.
