Free plugin - byRhinoGadget

@brvdln Sure, we have our YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@byRhino3D. You can find the byRhinoGadget playlist there: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLeFHSEB4KlcTwGo-bC1Lv0m8n9m8PSR8c. This video playlist covers almost all the commands of our plugin.

I just tried to update to the SR candidate, but it seems to work fine for me. I’ll try to test on other computers and let you know what I find.

Is there anything I could do to help you debug it?
Below is the content of the folder, everything seems to be in place.

The file name looks strange: "+ byRhinoGadget… ". It should be “byRhinoGadgetPlus.Components.gha”.
Please try removing and installing the plugin again:

  • Remove byRhinoGadget from the Package Manager and Close Rhino and open Rhino.
Or close Rhino and delete the installed folder, and open Rhino
  • Install byRhinoGadget from the PackageManager.
  • Close Rhino and open Rhino again, and check it works for you.

Uninstalled - reinstalled - still the same:

Never had any problems with plugin installation.

Try to run ScriptEditor command, and go to menu Tools > Advanced > Reset Python 3 Runtime and restart Rhino. It looks similar to this post Rhino Compute - Python 3.9.10 is not yet ready or failed initialization

This time loading Grasshopper took a long time and I saw the bar about reinstalling libraries and Python yet - still nothing, same three blank components.

thanks, the exploded view is a really useful tool that I’ve been missing over the years!

I can’t get the Countobject command to work, I’m also watching the tutorial on Youtube, but I’m probably doing something wrong, here’s the video

the tutorial i’m watching

Please wait one or two days. A new update for the AddCallouts command will be released then, which will allow you to draw the list table together. The SetDensity command will also be included.

@brvdln Try out the updated AddCallouts command in byRhinoGadget 1.4.4. A feature has been added that allows you to create a list table linked with numbering. Weight is calculated using the density specified by the SetDensity command and the volume of the geometry. You can change the column order of the table and toggle the display of items.

I think some features are not working properly. For example ‘MkButtonsDome’ . Many features that work correctly are excellent. Thank you

Any possibility of “CallOuts” for Rhino 7?

@HEYCEY Can you share the file for the non-working case?

@yigit Since we’ve stopped working on the Rhino 7 plugin, it seems unlikely we’ll be able to make it. I hope you can update to Rhino 8 soon.

I installed, uninstalled, reinstalled, and still don’t have a toolbar for byRhinoGadget.

All the commands in the manual work, but I couldn’t create or find the toolbar shown in the videos and images in the posts.

How can I access this toolbar?

I’m using the updated Rhinoceros 8.0.

C:\Users(YourPCname)\AppData\Roaming\McNeel\Rhinoceros\packages\8.0\byRhinoGadget\1.4.7\net7.0
In that folder, locate the byRhinoGadget.rui file and drop it into the Rhino window you already have open.

Hello, I have a crash everytime since i install this plugin and launch grasshopper… it crashes when GH start and load ByRhinoGadgetplus.components

But if i click for on a ByRhinoGadget button inside Rhino before loading GH, Grasshopper then will not crash…and load the components…

What could be the problem? (no log of the crash on my desktop..) It is very problematic for me because if i forgot to click on a gadget button, and if i load a GHPlayer, my rhino crashes….

Thank you for your help

Thank you very much.
I hadn’t found this information in the documentation, help, or any other post.

I have resolved the issue I mentioned. The videos are very helpful and easy to understand. Thank you. However, I am having a problem with the object colour. I have tried different methods, but the result is always the same. I am having trouble uploading the images. The error I get in the command line is as follows:

'Command: _ObjectColor

Unknown command: _ObjectColor’

sorry but is this plug in for Rhino 7?
