Flow command anomoly

Hello there. Running into an issue using the Flow command. When I initiate the Flow command, it’s offsetting the line about an inch away from the path.

The path line is curved and used the length tool to measure. (4’10")
The reference line and object to Flow around Curve are exactly 4’10" long.
Only Flow option I’m using is Stretch.

The result is the line is offset from the target path and hoping to get help on how to get the object to flow directly on the line.

Hello - the offset is preserved from the line - move the object to coincide with the base line the same way you want it to be on the target curve.
