Flow object along curve

Hi Guys!

I have one question regarding flow along a curve. I need to make a pipe (1200mm in length, diameter of 10 and wall-thickness of 1) flow along a curved line. When I do this however, using the command flow, I notice that the new shape has not retained its length of 1200mm. Any suggestions how I can do this whilst retaining the right dimensions?

Cheers!
Morgan

It sounds to me like you could just use the Pipe command to achieve this.

Have you double checked the Stretch option when flowing? Here’s the same cylinder after flowing along a curve, with Stretch set to yes and no:

Hi Rodri,

Yes I did indeed check it. But somehow it still shortens. I was also wondering, as a way to move around the problem, if it is possible to make a longer shape and then cut along isocurve at a specified distance? Still haven’t worked that out.

Maybe you can specify the exact length of the centerline curve with the Divide command (set it to segment length, not to number of segments), then use that point as a reference to split with an isocurve?

That did indeed do the trick! Thanks!
