Flow along curve

I am having trouble figuring out this flow along curve command for my needs.
I have board designed in a flat plan at a specific length. I have been trying to bend it to a curve but i would like to keep the some length along the y axis. It shrinks over the y length which makes sense because that distance does get shorter, but is there a way to stretch it so it will end up the same y axis length? Ive tried the stretch option and it doesnt seem to give me a predictable solution.

Hi Pete- I’d think Stretch=Yes would do it- what goes wrong?

If i don’t select stretch it gets shorter as in the picture i attached. If i click yes then it grows a little bit, but it seems to be arbitrary.

Hi Pete - put the line right in the center of the board.

that worked perfect!! Put both lines on the bottom of the board at the center and it worked.
