I’m trying to loft many curves, all properly layedout, same direction, joined, ordered. I don’t understand the fitloft solution with a deviation. What am I missing ?

One gives you more precise adherance to the section curves while the other one gives you a smoother surface approximation. The loft is a surface transition from section curve to section curve while the fitloft is just fitted through the curves. For regular loft the exact shape of the curves is followed by the surface while Fitloft fits a general ok-looking ‘general’ shape.
