Extruding solid text on curved surface

Hi everyone,

I’m having a little trouble extruding solid text on a curved surface! The text curves have been projected onto the surface, it’s just a sphere shape. When extruding, solid is selected, it is unable to complete the command. I’ve tried various other methods to get the letters solid but having no luck so far. If anyone has any suggestions that would be greatly appreciated! FYI I want to bolean the word out of the sphere after.
