Rhino 8 produce bad geometries from trimmed the extend surface command compared to Rh7. (trimmed surface but no problem in Rh7)
Can you upload a .3dm file with your geomtery before you extended the surface? It can be difficult or impossible to diagnose a problem based on an image only.
