Exporting selected to DWG creates incorrect dimensions

Hello, I am working on a different Cplane than World Top. So when I export selected to DWG from plan view of my cplane, it seems to project to World Top and thus creates a drawing that is a little off. Any way to export a DWG exactly as it is shown from plan view of my custom Cplane?
Thank you!

Hello- if you are using this setting and the current view has the plane you like, it ought to work

Maximizing the viewport that has the right CPlane removes the chance of accidentally making another view current during the export process.

Thank you so much, Pascal. I’m sure this will do the trick!

Hi Pascal, I tried the CPlane & View as well and it’s showing up in AI with missing layers and random objects floating around the place. Any idea what could be the cause/fix for this?

Hello- please post an example file and the settings used to export, here or to tech@mcneel.com, with a link back here in your comments.

Let me know if this is enough. I can’t export the source 3dm at the moment because it’s a super large file.

Hi -

It’s not. There are random objects floating around the place in this dwg file that you posted. It’s impossible to tell from that file how it was in a 3dm file from which something was exported.

I’m sending a wetransfer with the 3dm file and a link to this topic in it. sorry, it’s too large for email. thanks in advance for your support
