Export hatch as .ai opened into Pshop is a wobbly mess

Hi,
Rhino V8
what is happening here, I have exported a hatch from Rhino V8 as .ai, open in Pshop latest as 20.5cm height, and its gone ‘jelly’ mode.
try again from Rhino V5, same.
try also Pshop CS6 and same again.

yet I have done a C, an F, an H and a B all were ok, no wobblies (just an annoying transparent border on mostly three sides (see other post) . all same method.

what is the solution ?

eps for starters, just when can we have an export as eps, as is normal in the world of artwork ?
I had hoped v8 would get up to date on such, but still no export as eps exists.

I need to get these drawings into photoshop. Ideally at the size and quality they left Rhino !
I have to open 10x the size then crop down and resize image to get the size they should have arrived as.

but this wobbly mess is beyond any help.
here is the file as source of all done so far.

why does the S fail ?
number 2 style blunt toe RhinoV8 save as Rhinov5.3dm (1.3 MB)

Cheers
Steve

I suspect .ai doesn’t like your degree 2 arcs - most of which have 5 control points. You might try ConvertToBeziers on your curves, rejoin them before making the hatch then re-export as .ai. Don’t know if it will help though.

Edit: if all you need are images in PS, why aren’t you just using viewport captures to a PNG file ?

Hi,
well I just had a Rhino update available prompt, so installed it, reboot pc,
and revisit the file, which I see I didnt save with the hatch done.
did the hatch, exported it again, saved the file suffix hatch
AND ALL IS OK NOW !!!

now… was that the update, or simply rebooting PC and launching Rhino again ?

I now attach the file with hatch.
number 2 style blunt toe RhinoV8_S hatch.3dm (2.4 MB)

so just the matter of the incorrect size and transparent areas beyond export to solve.
McNeel please fix,

(how does one get this to their attention ?)
