Engraving text on jewery objects

Hi,
So, I’ve been playing around with texts and putting it on surfaces, but wasn’t sure if it would be noticeable if I actually sent it over to a 3D printer. The surface area is about 1mm in height, and I was adding double-line font that was slightly smaller than this. It seems really small to actually be printable. What kind of issues would I run into if after splitting/extruding srf (but recessed) I actually sent it to a 3D printer?

Thanks,
Christine

Without seeing the file you’re working on and not knowing the chosen printing process, it’s hard to answer. If you’re getting FDM parts, no chance of it working at all. If getting SLA parts, then possibly. Other printing methods will be in between. My recommendation would be to send the file to the printer and get their advice. They’re usually pretty good about that sort of stuff.

Thanks. This was actually really helpful. I will talk with the printer to see which method they use.
