Hello,
I’m new here and have a problem that has appeared occasionally. I need to place a “signature” on a surface of a glass bottle. I’ve got vectors, but have no idea how to emboss it with smooth edges on a surface. The protrusion i ca. 1.5 mm. I tried extrusion and then fillet edges - the result was poor.
Has anyone got a solution?
I also attached screens to specify the problem.
Thanks a lot in advance
Dominik
Hello - do you need a picture, or manufacturable or 3d-printable surfaces?

Hi,
I need this just for rendering in Keyshot. BUT, there are going to be some close-ups showing “signature” too.
By the way, I use Rhino 5 Mac OS.
thanks

Hi,
thanks for uploading video. It’s very usefull, but it uses rendering in Rhino.
In my case, I would like to have it as a separete object (signature), because in Keyshot I can use different refraction, material etc. in comparison to surface of the bottle.

Sorry, I can’t help with KeyShot - I have never used that.
In Rhino 7 you can use the different channels of the PBR material to essentially control the material of the different parts.
The logo made metallic:
Hi @nathanletwory
Follow your instruction. I try apply sphere/Cylinder mapping. But it’s too big. I tried to scale.
Do you have any suggest?

You will have to play with the repeat of the texture as I start explaining at 5:53 of my video.
