Hi friends, I try to simulate earthquake using karamba. In some disscusions i realized vector should be in X or Y direction in gravity load but what about SUPPORT?
I will be so gratefull if you can see and correct my file.
Earthquake in karamba.gh (123.3 KB)
@matttam @karamba3d
I do not understand what exactly you are asking. Can you please clarify your question?
Of course, thanks for your responding. I have a shell as you see in file and i need to analyze earthquake effect on it. When i define a force in x or y direction in gravity load, answer is not acceptable. I don’t know what’s wrong with it.
Dear @Akram.EL,
in which respect does the solution seem wrong to you?

First, I had my analysize for shell stability in natural situation, so vector direction was z and color coding and valuse of stress1 and stress2 were reseanoable as shown below.
But when i want to examine earthquake effect on my shell and i change direction to x (as explained in earler topics in this forum), color coding and values of stree1,2 seem strange.
I’ll be so thankful if you can guide me
Did you set the position of the result to -1 or 1 which indicates the outer or inner face of the shell.
Btw, I would suggest that you upgrade to at least the 2.2 version of Karamba3D
Thank you @matttam , It’s my first karamba project and it’s really kind of you that helped me
