Dynamic sidebar Rhino v8 for use with Orca3d plugin

I’m getting myself in a real mess trying to set up new tabs with associated dynamic sidebars, I’m just going round and round in circles.

In the default horizontal tab arrangement in v8, some of the tabs (curve tools, solid tools, subD tools etc) are dynamically linked to a specific and related sidebar.

I’m trying to add three tabs for using with the plugin Orca3d, I’d like these tabs to be dynamically linked to a custom sidebar. Whenever I add a toolbar, link it via the properties box to a tab, it is then visible on all the tabs.

I’d like to add the sidebar so it behaves in the same way as the other dynamic sidebars.

Any help would be really appreciated.

Hi Richard,

When on the horizontal toolbar just below the tab; if you right-click and select “Properties”, you will be taken to the below dialog, where you can optionally hook a Sidebar of your choice:

But perhaps you already tried that? If so, sorry I misunderstood your question.

I just tested this on my side and it seems to be the answer to the question. I didn’t know how to do it myself, now I do, thanks @sd1
