Download the New Add Rebar Component for Rhino.Inside.Revit

Hello everyone,

I am excited to share a new Add Rebar component for Rhino.Inside.Revit.

This component allows you to create native Revit rebars directly from Rhino curves, while keeping support for:

  • Smart inputs
  • Element tracking
  • Rebar types

The goal is to make reinforcement modeling faster, more parametric, and more integrated within your Grasshopper + Revit workflows.

Download & Installation

  1. Open Grasshopper inside Revit using Rhino.Inside.Revit.

  2. In Grasshopper, go to File → Special Folders → Components Folder.

  3. In the opened folder, return one level up to the Grasshopper root folder.

  4. Create a new folder named:

    Libraries-inside-Revit-2025

  5. Place the provided plugin files into this new folder.

  6. Restart Grasshopper and Revit.

  7. You should now see a new tab in Grasshopper called RevitRebar.

Plug-in Requirements

  • Rhino 8
  • Revit 2025
  • Rhino.Inside.Revit (latest daily build recommended)

This is one of the most common issues I have noticed when creating rebars in Revit.

Users try to draw the bends manually.
But with Add Rebar component, you only need straight segments.

Revit will generate the bends automaticallybased on the rebar type.

If you draw arcs or tiny radii, the bar may fail or disappear.

Keep it simple.

Straight lines in → proper rebars out.

Share your feedback, suggestions and feature requests

Hello, does this work as well with Revit 2026? I ask this, because when I tried to run the plugin, Grashopper didn’t recognize it (I use Revit 2026). Thanks in advance.

Hi,
Change your folder name from 2025 to 2026.

@Muhammad_Saqlain_Awa Hello, there seems to be lots of updates based on your LinkedIn posts, but the only place I could find to download the rebar components from is this thread from 08/2025. Am I missing something? Where can I get the latest version, please?

@Vlavanj you can request the access here

OK, I applied. Gotta say I find it a bit confusing. I’m not really looking for learning content, I just want to test the rebar components, which the community site does not seem to even mention.
