Do I need to set 9.8 to the gravity component?

Hi, a simple question, do I need to input 9.8 to the gravity load component? or can it simply be a unit Z vector?

The gravity component assumes a value of gravity on earth, you can use a vector to apply a multiplier of gravity and a direction should you require it.
