I was wondering if it’s possible to join a surface with a displacement map with a normal surface in rhino. When I apply a displacement map onto a surface it creates an offset of some sort making it impossible to join parts togheter
You need to add some gradient color around the picture, e.g. after I process the texture on the left side to the one on the right side, a relatively good transition effect can be achieved with Displacement,
since it looks like you are a using mesh for the rest anyway instead of surfaces, you could easily just extract the rendermesh from the surface you have the displacement map on and join that with the rest. you may have to split the sides with the extracted rendermesh first.
