Design Eto.Forms GUI in Figma?

@curtisw

Has anyone here tried designing Eto.Forms interfaces on Windows or Mac using tools like Figma? I’m just starting out with UI design, and I’m wondering if I could quickly prototype interfaces in Figma and then recreate something similar manually afterward.

What would be the best option here - maybe some kind of Figma UI kit that resembles the Mac interface? I haven’t found a good UI kit for Windows that closely matches the GUI style in Rhino 3D.

Any advice on this topic, and more generally on prototyping and converting designs into production-ready GUI for Rhino, would be very welcome. Thanks!

Hey @barden00,

Sorry I’ve never used Figma. ChatGPT and other AI development tools are pretty good at taking screenshots of a prototype and creating it in Eto.Forms, however.

Eto is great for making UI that fits in with the rest of Rhino and matches the platform it’s running on. If you’re looking for something infinitely flexible such as HTML/CSS, some other technology might make more sense.

Hope this helps!
