Decals not baking

Hi All,

Polysurface with material and decals.

Run Bake and it creates new texture with the material but no decals.

Decals are pngs. I’ve done this before but now it just won’t work.

Any suggestions on where to start trouble shooting?

Don’t worry. I’ve remembered now.

Decals need to have direction “Both” for baking to work.

I haven’t the foggiest idea why this is the case, but there you go :wink:

I’d like to know which version are you using now? I didn’t find this issue in Rhino 8.22

SR23 version here.

Aaah, I think I get it now

If the decal widget is behind the object, then direction Both needs to be checked for baking to work, even though the decal correctly shows up with Forward checked.
