Datasmith Exporter for Rhino issue

Hello, I’ve recently downloaded the latest version of Twinmotion (2024.1) for intended use with Rhinoceros (Version 8 - 8.12.24282.07002, 2024-10-08). I’ve downloaded the Mac Datasmith Exporter for Rhino for use on Twinmotion 2024.1. However, when I go forward through the sequence of the Datasmith zip folder, to the uncompressed Datasmith folder, and then to the DatasmithRhino8.macrhi file, I receive an error message from rhino. I’ve attached images of what is being shown through the progression. Rhino tells me “Error Installing Plugin - Could not read the installer file.” I’ve searched high and low for a solution but I’m unable to resolve this. I’ve reinstalled Rhino, and tried other methods of troubleshooting without success though. Any assistance with this would be greatly appreciated.

While it is possible that a user here has come across this issue and has tips for you, you should probably contact Epic for questions related to their products.

Hi Jess, I’ve encountered the exact same problem and haven’t been able to find any solution online after hours of searching. Have you found any solutions?

Hi Daniel, unfortunately I have not. I was in contact with the Epic/twinmotion support team for a while; it’s a bug of some sort and they’re aware of it from some other cases as well. They’re looking into it, but they said they weren’t sure how long it would take for a fix.
