Anyone else getting error messages like this when opening a file?
The file will open, but then Cycles is unavailable.
I am confused by this - The log file that is being created should be unique for the process.
I am currently not able to try reproduce this, but as soon as my Windows machine is working I’ll investigate more closely.

It’s intermittent for me as well. Happened last week once, then started happening today again. I also have an instance of Rhino 7 open, I wonder if that’s part of the problem.
Rhino 7 does not have the logging that appears to be the problem in Rhino 8.
I have to figure out how two processes end up with the same process id to use.

Yep, I get this too. Without using R7, but when using multiple instances of R8.
VRay is selected as renderer.
Typically goes away after a SR update… then seems to return.
FYI, I haven’t had the error pop up again since reporting here. But I also haven’t downloaded that latest version just suggested @nathanletwory . 
Let me know whenever you have managed to test the newer version. That’d be great.
