Cut and Fill Problem in Rhino Land design

Hi,

I have a problem with using Rhino Lands Design Plug in.
I am trying to use cut and fill tool but it makes weird holes and bumbs.

How can I fix this?

It might be related with your previous operations you did on the same part of the terrain. Please send us the file to landsdesign@asuni.com

It looks like you created the terrain using curves that were defined in millimeters. Later you could have changed the document units, scaling the whole terrain object. Is that right? In that case, the Terrain internal input data has too big coordinate values, causing precision issues.

You can solve that following these steps:

  • Select the Terrain and Extract the curves by using the _laExtractCurves command
  • Delete the Terrain
  • Create a new Terrain by using the extracted curves (but for the cut&fill curve)
  • Add the Cut&Fill using the appropiate extracted curve

We plan to add an option, in future versions, to automatically correct these kind of problems.
