I’ve ran into this issue several times in the past, namely that the panel-layout I assumed was saved into the template disappears at times. The attached screengrab is more or less how I usually have it.
I thougt that it might’ve been an issue of me overwriting my template with an active file etc at the start, but I’ve now excluded that as an option. I’ve also tried leaving the “Lock Docked Windows” line in the panel settings, but even that seems to be irrelevant.
For some reason tho, whenever i do run into this issue, it is only the “main panel” that contains the selected windows that is affected; the vray bar, the selection-filter etc never go?? Same for the actual content of the template file, layer names, colous, contents, and named views are still there once I manually reopen each panel.
It’s more irritating than it is problematic, but I would hope that someone ca help, cos this issue slightly defeats the purpose of having templates.
