Cloth Drape Help

Hi all,

I’m pretty new to Kangaroo and Grasshopper and trying to simulate a cloth draping over a structure. The cloth is created with Quad Remesh, and I’m using SolidPointCollide to handle collisions. I’ve meshed the geometry and connected it to the Solid input, but the cloth still falls right through.

Here’s what I have so far:

As a band-aid solution, I tried baking the cloth mid-fall in the file just to show what I’m aiming for visually but here’s a reference picture (like this)

I’ve also started setting up something in the file to simulate wind, I’d love feedback on whether that approach makes sense.

Any help would be really appreciated.
Thanks!

Hey, thanks a ton for this solution!
I have a couple of questions after playing with it:

  1. Is there a way to create some drapes that are larger than others? like this?

  2. I also tried adjusting the wind parameters, but the cloth became really jittery — could you explain why that might be happening, or how to make the wind feel more natural? the only way that somewhat worked for me was to use really small numbers.

Thanks again!
