after importing an ifc file into Rhino I obtained a closed solid polysurface made up of 3 disjoint volumes but with a single identifier. Have you ever encountered this unusual solid. Shouldn’t this be three closed solid polysurfaces instead of just one. Do you know where this could come from and how to prevent this from happening?
Hi Charles - sSelect > Explode > Join should clean it up. Technically a brep need not be one contiguous thing though in Rhino that is by far the most common. You can make one of these with NonManifoldMerge
