Clipping Plane: The section shows only when dragging - bug?

As you can see below, the Clipping plane works ok for the box but not for the polysurface on the right. For the polysurface the behavior is reversed, showing the section while dragging but not on release. I attached the file.

Am I the only one seeing this?
I insist a bit because it is quite a drawback in my workflow.

I was used to @Gijs and @jeff replying on this neverending Clipping Plane topic… Maybe they took a well deserved summer break.
