Clipping Plane Drawing bug impossible to be erased

Hi there.

I was experimenting with clipping plane drawings and I realized that these are very difficult to work with. but must of all the big problem I found is that if I erased a clipping plane, then Undo that… and then erase… the cpliiping drawing nonetheless remains in the Rhino file… and it is impossible to get rid of it… :frowning:

Is this a bug? if it is not… how do I remove those drawings?

And on other “questions or thigns to the wishlist”… is there a way to insert those drawings right in a layout?.. the dots are sometimes very intrussive/distractring… And another request relies on the unfriendliness to move around the drawing… it is not possible to select and “changing” the location while it works… it is not easy to understand what is the insertion point…

CLIPPPING PLANE DRAWING PERSISTENT.3dm (135.3 KB)

Hi mutarq -

The ClippingDrawings command generates layers that are locked. You’ll need to unlock these to delete the objects that are on those layers.

That feature request is on the list as RH-85494 ClippingDrawings: Place Output on Layout

For the time being, you can simply turn off all those layers in model space and turn them on for a detail on a layout.

I’d use text instead of dots…
