Ckeck line command in file

HI forum, In this file I wanted to draw a line of .187". You can see at the top of the surfaces a line . This was my start point. I followed the drawing aid guide lines to draw a line out .187". Would anyone like to see if it is just something I am doing wrong or do you see what I see. It draws a line out randomly with the cursor at its length. Hope I don’t show myself to be stupid. Thank you,Mark

Is the direction of the line correcct?

Can you maybe add a screenshot or video?

more or less on the direction. I was following on the guides in any direction . thanks for looking Martin. V8 RC

So with SmartTrack on?

Which view did you work in?

I forgot , it is in Perspective

Difficult to say what went wrong. Are you using OneView?

no, I guess you are seeing it too.

No I don’t see the problem yet but I’ve experienced something similar when entering length and width of a rectangle or box. It would sometimes skip one of my inputs and just draw a rectangle with a size based on where the mouse is. I think it’s a SmartTrack problem but I have not spend enough time trying to reproduce the problem.

I got it to work in another file. Just wanted to run it by someone besides me , to see if they could duplicate it.

oh, I see

Hi Mark - so far I do not see any unexpected behavior here…

thanks for checking

Ok, so my problem was that the mouse is on a smart track guide and I enter 100.

The command line says enter corner or length. If the mouse is on the smart track guide, the command line info does not make so much sense.
