Changing light intensity crashes Rhino everytime

Playing around with lights again. If I try to change the light intensity in the boxes surrounded by the red line, Rhino will crash.
If I change it in the box surrounded by the blue line. No crash. I can repeat this. I did send the crash report.

Hello - if you have a file that has examples of each, please post it or send it to us. Please also post the results from the SystemInfo command in Rhino.

I’m not sure what you mean by “examples of each.” If I place a light and try to change the intensity in the Lights tab. Rhino crashes. If I select the light in the Lights tab, but make the intensity change in the Properties tab, it does not. This happens with every file. I just created a cube, placed some lights, and if I change them in the light tab Rhino crashes. Sometime the first change takes. But it has always crashed on the second. light test.3dm (448.6 KB)

I just tried it here on my little Surface and I am unable to get a crash or any odd behavior.
I changed each light intensity using the Lights panel (click on the number, type a new value), and tried repeatedly in different working display modes.
No problems.

Please see if the extra plug-ins you have loaded have any effect on the crashing.
In Rhino Options > Plug-ins, change the list filter to Plug-ins that do not ship with Rhino.
Disable all of them.
Close and restart Rhino.
Diddle the light intensity again.

Can you repeat the crash?

Thanks. Did as you suggested. Again crashed on the second intensity change. I can repeat it.

When Rhino crashes, does the Rhino crash reporting tool come up?
Assuming it does, have you added your email address and described the steps needed to repeat the crash.
Again, assuming yes, please repeat this crash, send in the crash report as described, include roughly when (time of day), and then let us know you sent it by email to: tech@mcneel.com

Then we can ask a developer to find the report and see if they can tell specifically what is failing and can give us a direction to go.

Thanks

Yes.
I got this after the report.

Thank you for sending an error report for Rhino. Please keep sending them - they help me make Rhino more stable.
Is Rhino crashing often? If so, do you notice any patterns about when it crashes? For example:

What are you trying to do when Rhino crashes?
What steps repeat the crash?
What commands do you run when Rhino crashes?
Please attach any Rhino 3DM files and Grasshopper definitions you have open.

Here’s what I know about each crash:

July 19 at 08:48 PM in Rhino version 6.16.19190.07001:
System.NullReferenceException: Eto.Wpf.Forms.Controls.GridColumnHandler.CellEdited (ICellHandler cell, FrameworkElement element)
You said: This has repeated 4 times. Adding or adjusting the lights crashed Rhino.
A Rhino 3DM file was included with your report.

Hi - we believe this is an instance of what we filed as issue RH-53037. This issue was fixed for Rhino 6.17. You could check this fix by installing Release Candidate 3 for 6.17.

Hi, I have the same problem.
I just double click on each light to open the settings, then change the light intensity with the slider.
it worked for me on rhino 6.13.

Hi - for starters, could you please run the Rhino SystemInfo command and copy-paste the result here?
-wim

I can not repeat that here.

Please post a file with one of these crashing lights please.

By changing intensity with the slider it won’t crash:

Hello - I am not sure I understand - are you saying you get crashes in 6.13, or that it works in 6.13 and not in later builds?
