Changing Crosshair axes orientation in rhino

Hi,

I am a basic user in rhino, and am facing some problems:

My crosshair is constantly oriented to the X-Y plane, and so, I am not able to move objects in the Z-axis (vertically).

In AutoCAD, F5 snaps the crosshairs into different planes in isometric style. Similarly, is there any such function to switch between planes?

Or, what else is the solution?

Does Elevator Mode work for you?

By default, Rhino draws on the current construction plane. You can override this with Osnaps, elevator mode, Planar, and a few other tools.
If I’m understanding the problem, then probably the best tool for you is to change the construction plane to wherever you want it to be.
Have a look at the “CPlane” command for details and options.
