Carapacks Pavillon

Hi guys,

I’m happy to share some images and a video of a Pavilion, which we just completed a couple of months ago at the faculty of architecture at the University of Biberach. Everything, (of course) done with Rhino and Grasshopper – also the animation.

How you flatten those objects on plane to make some sort of cnc cutting. Do you use opennest or any other method, if possible please explain…

As all the parts are free of curvature and torsion, there is no need to “flatten” the parts themselves – we could just orient them from their respective plane to global XY. From there, we used openNest to distribute them onto sheets for cutting.
