Cant split model

I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong, I have tried Split, BooleanSplit, SplitFace, MeshSplit and MeshBooleanSplit I dont know why its not working, none of them say failed it either just does nothing, says nothing was split or doesnt let me select the building

my file is pretty huge, 1.9gb so i dont know if anyone would even be willing to download this file

Can anyone help me?

oh im trying to render one of the sections and i tried maing a clipping plane but you cant render that as it turns basically black, if anyone has any better ideas id love to hear them

It would probably be helpful if you ran Rhino’s SystemInfo command and pasted the output here in this thread.

heres the output. i do have v-ray installed which would straight up solve my issue but i cannot for the life of me get it to work, and would rather see if i can get the clipping plane to work first than figure out v-ray again

Your Intel video driver is over a year old and your Nvidia driver is two years old. To start I would suggest updating those. If that doesn’t solve the issue the next step would normally be to disable the plugins that don’t ship with Rhino one at a time to determine if one of them is the problem.

Another thing to explore is why your file is 1.9 GB. That’s a really big file for most Rhino projects and it’s worth checking if it’s that big because of something unexpected going on.

its a big file because theres alot of stuff in it with small details, its all just kinda accumulated over this project as i add more stuff. my last project ended up being 3gb so it doesnt surprise me its already at 2gb.

Thanks, i will try updating and disabling now
