Cannot open Rhino 6 file from a different computer

Hello,

I have just recently upgraded to Rhino 6 on Windows 10 for usage on both my personal desktop and professional laptop that consistently shares and modifies rhino files between the two machines. However, when I upgraded to rhino 6 a few days ago I came across a problem where if I try to open a rhino 6 file on my desktop that was created from my laptop, it will either crash rhino entirely or open a black workspace that is not editable (see below). It is very important that these machines are capable of editing the same copied over rhino files and I’m not really understanding why if I create a file on my personal desktop, it is able to open perfectly fine on my business laptop. If someone could provide any assistance it would be greatly appreciated!

Below is also the system info for both machines:

Hi Andrew - is it any better or different if Enscape is disabled (and restart Rhino) on the second machine?

-Pascal

Hi Pascal,

Unfortunately, disabling Enscape for Rhino on either machine still does not allow me to open the shared files.

Thanks and please let me know if there’s any other suggestions.

-Andrew

What about if you try a test starting Rhino 6 in Safemode?
You can search for the shortcut in the Windows Cortana/search tool.
Load the Toolbars plug-in but say No to the others.
Safemode isn’t a fix.
It a tool that blocks OpenGL and plug-ins, either could cause this sort of problem.
