Rhino 6 freezes when opening some files

Hi,

We have a user who uses Rhino 6 and since 2 days she can’t open some files, it freezes directly at trying to load the file
.

  • Rhino is up-to-date and has been reinstalled.
  • Nvidia drivers have been reinstalled clean.
  • Only changes on the desktop that day are Zoom and Edge updates.

Dump file is too big for uploading as attachment, can I upload or sent it somwhere else?

Hello - please ask the user to start Rhino, and then run the SystemInfo command and send us the out put from that command.

Hello - please try disabling enscape in Options > Plug-ins page, then close and re-open Rhino - does the problem persist with these files?

-Pascal

Hello,
Problem is solved after disabling the Enscape plug-in.
Thank you very much for the quick response and solution.

-Jeffrey

Hello Pascal,

Issue is back after the weekend, the Enscape plug-in is still disabled and not loaded.

-Jeffrey

Hi Jeffrey - please send one of the offending files - preferably the smallest, simplest one - to tech@mcneel.com, including a link back to this topic in your comments.

-Pascal

Hi Pascal,

We have tested with the user on other desktops and she has no problems, so we are going to replace her desktop and reinstall it. So no further help is needed for now, thank you for the support!
